This is a pretty not so uncommon occurrence with the bridge pickups on 4003’s but at least the surrounds are always installed straight. SMH with this one!
Ha, that reminds me of when I wanted a new Honda ST 1100. The sales dude said he had one coming in a week. Each time I called he said it would arrive in "a week", every week, for two months. I finally gave up on the ST and bought a new BMW instead. A month later, he called to say he had gotten a new ST in stock, but three other people were also interested, so he would be selling it to the highest bidder....over MSRP. I had to laugh, too.
Yeah, but that's Rickenbacker - they can do whatever they want because suckers like us will keep buying their poopie and they couldn't care less! I'd expect more from Guild! hahaha
Yep, it's bad enough they email you to tease you that something is in stock, then it's worse that they want you to pay $1000 more because it's got a limited edition paint job!

The pickups are perfect. The 'F' holes are all screwed up... 
I thought it could be an optical illusion with the bridge, but using a straight edge shows the bridge pickup is angled relative to the neck pickup.

Is there actually detriment here? Aesthetically, sure, but is that pickup out of whack enough to actually cause a real issue?
My limited understanding is this is a magnetic field and not a laser beam.
I totally get wanting the visual symmetry and having every detail right. If it's at the point where you actually have to map out lines to make sure you're really seeing a problem, is the problem big enough to actually matter?
