No idea what happened but the pic in the thread looks terrible, the pic on the site looks ok (except for the D string not sitting in the bridge saddle groove)

They have two of the same bass, so you can compare them...

Note that the one on the left is the one with the D string out of the saddle that @Flippy is seeing.

I could see how this slipped by QC. If you aren't looking straight at it, it may not be that obvious. The question is, how did it get made that way. Aren't there templates or jigs for all of this?

So I have a question - does the pickup have a beauty ring on top or is the route to the far outside of the black? I played one of these and didn't bother to notice, but if the former, then *maybe* the route is wide enough you could loosen the 4 corner screws, nudge it into alignment and retighten?

Let's face it, Guild is showing some pretty poor workmanship with these examples. Sweetwater aren't doing themselves any favors either.
