while i personally see the value, and use, punctuation and enjoy accurate spelling, i ask:

is it only "laziness" if we define it as such? rarely, do i see capitalization as necessary for effective communication. further, could we not define spellings like "probly" or "gonna" as efficient rather than lazy?

these spellings may actually more accurately reflect the sounds made when we speak. english words are filled with extra letters. rite?

I have no problem with shortening words or combining them like "wanna" and "lemme" but when punctuation starts to go away I don't really know where sentences end sometimes it is very misleading to most of those who are used to reading its confusing and frustrating youre the one who has to make all the efforts for the message to go through properly

Yeah, I use 'wanna' and 'gonna' all the time, I also like to take the 'g' off the end of some words ('somethin'). Not in work emails or when I had papers to write but on forums, in text messages and emails to mom, sure. Why not? These kinda things should be written like speech IMO.

Whenever I take the G off (which I do when trying to relay how I'd actually be speaking), I add the " ' ", as in "somethin'", or "nothin'". That clearly doesn't reflect laziness.

Yeah I use the ''' (how do you single quote a single quote???) sometimes but not in text messages because then I have to jump to a different key configuration...same thing with a lot of punctuation and commas.
