Another app fan here. The "Tuning for Piano" setting really changes the character of the bass to my ear. Still have a Schnobel on my board as I prefer the speed in a gig situation.

I love mine. I use it to tune my tuba as well. Very accurate, the best I've ever used.
Peterson SP-1 StroboPlus HD Chromatic Handheld Strobe Tuner

Hello tuba-brethren! Although this pic is from 1976... haven’t played since 1977- so I guess I’m not really (still) a ‘Brethren’?!?
... I was sporting the ‘rock-star’ (soon to appear) hairdo!!![]()

Petersons are so sensitive they might not stop moving on a guitar. You just have to know that when the strobe’s barely moving you’re crazy in tune.I bought a Peterson StroboClipHD headstock tuner and I don't like it because it never stops moving, so I don't know if I got tune, very frustrating for me.
It embarrasses many other tuners in my opinion. Is the Peterson phone app really good?
Handsome devil. Is that a euphonium you’re playing? You’d look like a speck next to a BBb tuba.
