Are the SVT covers from Ampeg any good?

IMHO, taking the abuse instead of the head is what the cover's all about, and a road case will make an already heavy head almost unbearable. I have no idea about the quality of those Ampeg covers, but they look pretty solid and heavy duty to me.

I have several covers in use this moment:
I have a SVT CL head cover, a SVT810 and a SVT410HLF cover.
Very nice looking but most important very heavy duty.:hyper:
Beats any case (this means if you manage your own(non roady) transport that is) a flightcase (wood) really ads up the weight which is allready impressive with ther SVT CL.:crying:

For my backup gear I use an ABS SKB roller-rack (looks like a travel suitcase with a "pull-out" handle) which holds a SVT4-Pro and a SVP-Pro pre-amp for 2nd presets.

Cheers,

Theo

I strongly recommend Susan's padded covers from Studio Slips.

Strong, fit like a glove and machine washable.

She can also add accessory pockets if you wish.

Simply the best slip covers.
