Are You A Brand Loyalist?

I brought home a new bass cabinet yesterday and when putting it into it's new place, I realized my musical area is starting to look like Noah's Ark.

2x Lakland Basses
2x Fender Guitars
2x EBS bass amps
2x HoTone 5 watt amps
2x HoTone cabinets

I don't buy items because of the name tag, just how they feel or sound.

Not so much. I buy what sounds/feels best to me. Right now playing Fender, Spector and a parts bass. Amp wise at this time is Markbass and TC electronic. I design and build all my cabs, except a 410 Genz Benz. And I didn't design my EV TL606 cab, but I did build it.

As far as music gear goes, I appear to be loyal to Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Ampeg, Hartke, Martin and Guild. And whatever else may come along...

I appear to be. All my equipment is Fender products except for a Hofner bass I've had since '70 or so. 3 basses, 2 heads, & 2 410 cabs. I even use Fender flats. The P bass is actually a Warmoth build, the PJ a Fender and the Jazz is Squier.

no. i'm a whore when it comes to instruments and bass gear = whatever feels/plays good (to me!). there's so much good stuff out there these days that it's fun to be fickle!

i do tend to buy 'premium' for PA stuff. especially when i'm the builder. and when i had a studio = top notch equipment.

For now, I'm 100% Fender so yes, but it's not really intentional. It's more of an "I like what I like" situation.

I'm generally not a brand loyalist, but after cycling through a dozen different brands of basses, I keep coming back to G&L. I guess that makes me a loyalist at this point.

That and most of the rest of my gear is DIY, so I'm loyal to that brand

I am getting kinda partial to Ibanez, but the chips sorta just fell like that. Mostly about quality used gear at unbelievable low prices.

Fender here (one Squier). I'm even beginning to be a make and model loyalist: all but one are of the Jaguar variety.

It would seem like it, but not really.

I currently own two Fender basses, one Squier bass and one Squier guitar. Over the years, however, I've owned and played a lot of other brands.

It would be more accurate to say I'm Fender-style loyal, since the Jazz bass format seems to work best for me.

I'm probably a Sadowsky loyalist. He simply makes the perfect instruments for me that always sound good anywhere and never seem to break. With this in mind, I can get to work playing and studying music instead of thinking about problems with my bass or which one I'm going to get next.
