So I don't think I qualify as much of a loyalist..

cars, laptops, shoes, toothbrushes.. I'm not much of a brand loyalist I guess. Been riding a Harley for 16 years and even traded that in for another brand.

I'm loyal in my own way, I guess. I have 3 Fenders made by Fujigen, a Chinese Fender, 4 Andrew Drakes, two Douglas (Rondo), two Epiphones, Two Ibanez. Three Fender amps, a Genz-Benz and an Ampeg.

That's collected since 1973.

I'd buy more, but I think that's enough.

I have many Geddy Jazzes and Trace Elliot SMX 115/410 full stacks because they are my main workhorses and I know them up & down for getting what I want out of them both on stage and in the studio. I Iike consistency in those environments and across various tunings. And to change things up now this far in would require a huge investment in. time to get to know the replacements as well. If I was a pro, then I'd have the time, but I'm not.

In the shed its altogether different... I like to experiment and it seems I've been bitten by a tiny little collector bug... I have a Rick, a Modulus, a Status (on the way), a Wal, a Jazz with an awesome 64 neck... and I have several lesser Jazzes that I fart around with... none of which I would ever dream of gigging.

In the past I've owned other Ricks & Wals as well as Steinbergers (which I never really liked), a Jackson (my first bass), and one rather cheeky Carvin.

I have never owned a flats & tort P, though... oh the outrage!

An interesting follow-on question to this thread could be: What brands have you never owned that for some reason you just have some irrational aversion to buying? For me it's always been Musicman. And Warwick.

I brought home a new bass cabinet yesterday and when putting it into it's new place, I realized my musical area is starting to look like Noah's Ark.

I don't buy items because of the name tag, just how they feel or sound.

I was a Warwick loyalist. Though, now I've found my sound- with a Warwick bass. So now I feel comfortable enough, branching out.

I currently own 6 Warwick basses that are staring me down as I type. A Thumb NT5, a Corvette Standard (my first!), a Corvette $$ in Emeraude (god she's pretty), a Fortress ONE (my muse, my flame), a Dirty Blonde 5 Thumb, and a Fortress Masterman. I just traded off a blue Corvette $$5 for a Fender P, my first American made Fender. Terribly Excited. I also own a Squier CV P-bass (which got me onto the P to begin with), as well as a Wishbass.

Considering trading off my Dirty Blonde too at some point if a good offer comes up.

I guess when it comes to basses I gig with i'm a Fender/Squire loyalist.

My gigging basses are:

2 Fender - P bass
1 Fender - Jazz
1 Squier - P bass
1 Squire - Jag

I have a couple Ibanez basses but i never gig with them. Come to think of it I never play them at all.

The only brand loyalty I sort of feel is to GK amps, only because they are my favorite sounding amps and I can always dial in a good tone.

I think I'm more than a brand loyalist - I'm a brand snob.I enjoy playing nicer quality instruments and I try hard to sound as good as I possibly can when I play. I don't think you can deliver professional results unless you use serious tools.

My instrument arsenal includes multiple Rickenbacker, Warwick and G&Ls; Gibson, PRS, Taylor guitars - and a Fender Jaguar (a gift from my wife that I probably have to keep).

I use Euphonic Audio, SWR and Powersoft amplifiers; I have several EV speaker systems

Basses? I guess for me it is Fender basses (two Precisions) into Ampeg amps (two amps and three cabs)

Electric guitar? Gibson guitars (two) into Fender amps (three plus a blackface clone)

Acoustic guitar? Martin all the way

Haven't read the thread, just replying to OP:

Yes, I'm a brand loyalist on two fronts; I have two '80's Yamaha BB's (400 and 1600), an 810E, a Mesa Bass 400+, and a Quilter Bass Block 800.

I've never met an 80's BB that I wouldn't buy given the owner would let go.

I've never met a Quilter product I wouldn't endorse and stand behind 1,000%.
