I'm glad to live in a country which has one, rare, poisonous snake, and I'm glad because I DETEST snakes in any way, shape and form.

Snakes are great! Me and the kids had a corn snake several years ago and it was really cool. As a teenager, I used to purposely go out and catch snakes with a friend of mine. We both should have been bitten several times!

There are Black Rat Snakes in my area that are big enough to eat squirrels. A large one can be 8-9 feet long and thick as a baseball bat.

Here's a smaller male and large female outside my house two years ago, doing the Black Snake Moan.

We've found shed skins 6+ feet long hanging from the garage rafters and once in the basement.

That house would burn down before I dealt with those snakes.

I'm not afraid of snakes. I respect them, and don't bother them if I come across one.

I am afraid of horses though, the difference between me and people who are afraid of snakes is that I dont feel the need to kill every horse I see. I ran over a 7 foot diamond back one time and killed it. I felt bad because that snake had to be at least as old as I was at the time.
