Are your cab and amp the same brand?

Yes, a Carvin combo amp MB15 200w, with a matching 115MBE cabinet, 250w. Use the combo only most of the time, add the cabinet for larger and outdoor gigs. Compact, light enough and sounds great. (That's my custom Tele style 22" scale bass.)

No overlap at all between my heads and cabinets.

HEADS:
Mesa D-800+
Gallien-Krueger MB800
Genzler Magellan 350
Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II

CABINETS:
Two Barefaced Big Baby 2’s
Two Hartke HyDrive HD210’s
Barefaced One10

The closest I come to having a match is in a combo - Gallien-Krueger MB150

Mesa and Genzler for me. 800+ head is very versatile, BA15-3 is a perfect cab for me and matches well with head. Both have been designed very well and reflect the current trend in amp design along with cabs that are now light weight, have smaller footprints, but still provide high performance. Thanks Andy and Jeff for these standout designs!

Currently running my Aguilar Tonehammer 700 into 2 Aguilar SL112s and a Phil Jones C4 for some added punch. I really love the tone, but considering trying a Bergantino B Amp or Forte HP to replace the Tonehammer and add some clean options

Mesa 800+.....main gigging head.
G.K. MB500.....back-up head.

Gigging cabinets....."two", old, Avatar 210 Neo cabinets always stacked as a vertical 410.

Rehearsal cabinet that stays parked in band rehearsal room.....Ashdown 210T cab.

So I’m just sort of curious how prevalent it is for mismatches.
I have. Mesa head (TT-800 at the moment, other Mesa heads previously), and an Aguilar 4x10. I would've loved to go Mesa, but that would mean a loooooooong day to drive and hear one, where a local store told me they'd be happy to order a couple Aguilars to try in person, and if I didn't like it, no big deal, they'd still sell them.

I would love to match an amp with my cabs but unfortunately, there is no Audiokinesis bass amp to be had. However if @DukeLeJeune ever decided to make one, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
So I went the opposite way with my amp. @juledude ‘s fantastic Simone and Simone 500. Coincidentally, Jule doesn’t make bass cabs so it’s a match made in heaven. :smug:
