And here is the LATEST in my $150 B-n-G collection. ($185 delivered from AZ)

Ladies & Gentleman, I give you the CSB Black and Gold! (I played her for about 15 minutes. Still Dusty/Smudgey)

DROOL! How comfortable is the carved top?

I relocated my strap button to the neckplate to kill neckdive on my CSB, if you were to do it on that I guess you'd have to drill a new hole in the back heh

The Carved top is AMAZING! And the strap button is where the neck plate Would be if this were a Bolt-On neck...

You're good man! Unfortunately I am moving very soon and I need all the cash I have. I'm not trading my fretted! I actually de-fretted my CSB-380 and will be posting 'Lonely in Your Nightmare' soon. :+)

If you have Netflix Streaming you should check out the "Classic Albums - Rio" they're showing. JT spends quite a bit of time explaining how those basslines were recorded - some of them have muliple bass lines layered together. Good stuff.

Hello. I am not completely clear on the TB rules, but I figured the Aria community would be interested in the one I have up in the TB classifieds.

It's a 1982 SB1000 fretless. If any of you are interested in switching to fretless, I'd happily trade it for your fretted version.

If this Beast had Frets I'd probably go for it. I have the Correct pickup to put back in place of the Bart...

Come on now! I pre-ordered that DVD! I am quite the fanatic. I agree. It's a great video. One thing I find very interesting is how sped up the masters were with a lot of the 80s stuff. When they are playing the Rio multitrack and then cut to the master the pitch alters significantly. Funny thing is, when I play along lately I just tune up and go. Did they keep the speed and tune back down to a440 when they remastered? Back in the day I would ALWAYS have to tune my bass sharp to play along to my cassettes and vinyl.

Is it just the picture or are those fret lines staggered for intonation or something?

It's just you. They are completely flat - the fretboard feels like a normal fretless. What is wierd though is that on other (unlined) fretless basses, you are supposed to put your fingers "on" the side dot markers to get the correct note. On here the correct notes are right over the fret markers, so you need to play just a little "south" of the side dot markers. Of course, I instinctively put my fingers on the dots and that makes for some "interesting" playing until my brain adjusts.

Got it. I find that (especially when you really do use the lower and upper registers) it's all a crapshoot anyway. I like the way Gary Willis explain it. You just have to decide whether you want to play right on the line or right behind at the 12th fret and just adjust for the other positions. Something like that anyway. Your ear is the master of course. It's actually quite amazing to see the results from a tuner as you fret every note on a fretted bass. It's quite off in our fretted, tempered world.

Hi,

I was looking for some new informations about my Aria Pro II and i found this thread with photos of my bass.
Alembic83 put these photos on his site a long time ago!

So it's an '87-88 Integra, neck-thru, with Bartolini pickups, active electonic, 26 frets.

Sorry for the dust, i don't use it anymore...

Hey Ptit Pifou!
I just bought the exact same bass, it's simply fantastic! :hyper:
Looks, feels and sounds wonderful. Pretty surprising there seems to be absolutely no info to be found on this model. Do you know anything more about it? Or would Alembic83?

And now my girlfriend wants one too... So if there's an unused one in good condition lying around somewhere near Belgium...
Cheers, Pascal.
