I just bought a 1982 (or so) Pro II Cardinal CSB-450, Mahogany Sunburst, single pickup, glued on neck, great action with lots and lots of tone. It was brand new sitting in the same music store it had sat in, unsold, for 26 years. I never had played an Aria before, and took about 90 seconds to decide I wanted it. Can I join the club if I take a picture?
Hey, My dad was an Aria Dealer in the 70's. I always thought they where a great deal and overlooked just 'cause they where imports. My sister played on a white Jazz copy but that was a long time ago. It did play great, don't know what ever happened to it.

i have 2 csb basses love em, mine are bolt on. i would love to see some pics of the bass. and its heel.
if the first number on the serial is a 2 then its from 82, first number 1 -81...
woehoe, I have nice parents! long story short: they got a break(money wise) and they're giving me a Bartolini MusicMan pickup...
why do I mention this here?
well for 100euro's I bought and Aria TSB 350 of a buddy o'mine the thing was kinda messed up: bridge screws were all shot, pickup was taken out and some smaller one put in, electronics were messed up, extra pots added... best thing: some one also added a jazz pickup in the neck position: Bartolini...
I ripped the counter sunk bridge out(couldn't adjust it anymore), filled the hole up with solid wood, sanded it flush with the body and installed a BadAssII bridge(after soaking it in acid for a while), filled most added holes and dings, took an old musicman style pickup, installed it and inserted some new wood around it, so it would look nice, repainted the body black(leaving the maple(?) centre of-course!) but still let it look a bit old, so no high gloss finish...
the only thing that I didn't have: the cash to buy a bartolini MM pickup... my dad just ordered it for me
so it's nearing completion now(after over 6 months)
I'll post picks when it's done!

That bass looks stunning. I'd love to get my hands on a few more Aria basses, they really are gems.
