Yes, but weich (light) gauge.
There's a pink silk ring at the beginning of the silk at the junction of the metal wound part.
Good strings, but as I said, not very magnetic pickup friendly.
T-I Spirocores would provide a much hotter output, but many (metal core) others too.

Thank you. I was wondering about the pink silk. Now I know. As you can see, I’m learning as I go. I have TI-flats on one of my fretless bass guitars and love them.

Me too. It's an Epiphone EB0 fretted though.
Spirocores come in three gauges, plus solo-tuning.
Solo tuning is a whole tone higher than orchestra. (F# B E A)
Strings designed for that tuning are thinner, sort of extra-light gauge if you will.
You can play them at orchestra pitch, they're quite popular.

Thank you. I will definitely look into the solo-tuning while I’m researching. I think I read somewhere, that rockabilly bassists will use the solo-tuning strings then tune them to the lower pitch because it makes it easier to survive long gigs. I’m thinking rockabilly bassists don’t get a chance to do a ballad occasionally and recoup from the previous song.
