I’ve never played one (I wish) but I would think a 70w tube amp thru a good efficient cabinet would be fine for me on a gig. My revsound cab gets real loud with a tc electronics Bam200

Very curious to hear what you think. Micah's preamp is my favorite front end ever, and I haven't had an all-tube amp since a Bassman 100 fifteen years ago. This might be a great piece of gear for me.I have a recently completed 70w Arkham on its way to me right now! Very excited!

I ordered an Oracle V2 for my light board. I should receive it tomorrow. I can’t wait !
On a side note, I am still waiting for my Noble to come (for my bigger board) I can’t wait to AB them !

I received my Oracle v2 last week. Phenomenal. I LOVE it. It’s just great.
It runs using DESS MP5 putput 3+4 (1700mA). I confirm it does not turn on woth 850mA. I used a Voodoo Lab cable to run both output in parallel (+ on +) to double the amperage.

What cable keepers do you use? I see they're the adhesive type? I got some off of amazon, pretty sure they used 3M double stick, but I'm starting to wonder if I need something more permanent via screws.
These little guys eventually come up and that needs to stop, asap

Have not fired it up yet, unfortunately. I was out of town over the weekend but hope to install the tubes and fire it up this week.

Just use more of them and try to moderate how hard the wires pull on them.

Installed the glass and spent some quality time with the Ultra Linear 70w tube head last night. Man, she's a beaut!
I have not spent enough time to really know this amp, but man, there are a lot of tones in there! Output-wise, it's right about where you would expect it to be, and more than enough to gig - with the right cab(s). It definitely gives a bit more clean headroom than most similar tube heads, and it sounds very full.
The Arkham was also able to spend some time with some friends. Man, these all-tube heads are so fun to play around with! They all have their own personality, and they all take tweaking in different ways. You definitely can dial in a good bit of similarity between them all (if that is your goal), but like I said, they each have their own voice and personality. This was fun! More fun coming, for sure... I definitely want to try the 70w vs. my Beast of Both Worlds.
These shots give you some idea of the size of the Ultra Linear 70w compared to some contemporaries. Each of those cabs had its own personality, too, of course. I did most of my comparisons pushing all of the heads through the 212AV.

i recall first plugging in and thinking this sounds like a record. it has the sounds my ear recalls of great early recordings i heard as a kid. a fine amp.
