Assembling a 'tractor' jazz bass clone/tribute.

If you mean until you sand and buff then, yes, a couple of weeks is a minimum with nitrocellulose lacquer. The general rule is to wait until you don’t smell paint anymore then give it another week or two then sand and buff.
My brass nut turned out to be 42 mm wide. This neck is a true Jazz bass neck design. So the neck is 38mm at the nut. So I ordered two nuts for jazz basses.
Now the lacquer should be hard enough for polish. Then the final assembly. The brass nuts I have received do not fit. I hope to remedy that.

I have been on acquisition so my weekends were filled with gasoline activities. I bought a Midas venice 16 rack mixer. I allso bought a Mac Pro dual xeon 5.1 that I gave to my neighbour. I allready have two. He is a nice fella and doing some work for old people. He used to be a chef. Now once a week he prepares meals for people in a old people home. So he deserved a break. His eyes lit up when I stepped into their house. You know ..... he was not expecting that.

I bought an extra stand and a tom and maybe an extra crash. Then the drumkit is done. I have received two midi leads.
It's over 30 degrees celsius. Allmost 90 degrees fahrenheit. Unusual for dutch temperatures. I am avoiding neck issues (because of staring at tight bikini tops). So I stay at home.
I'm not sure... But sometimes it looks like the ladies do like to show off.... But that can't be... right? Right?
I hope to get up early and doing some buffing on the bass body.
I purchased a GSP-5 digitech rack unit. I bought it for the delay. It's now in the SWR SM5 rack (a stereo bass amplifier).
Hopefully tomorrow I will hear the first bass sounds.

Roadblock. I sanded the body and neck. Then I polished. I then went on to set in the neck tuning mechanics. The holes seem to be a millimeter too narrow to each other so the big reverse Fender tuners won't fit.

I allso stumbled on this bass. I can (when it is here) take measurements. This is a Chris Aiken neck on a VM jazz bass body. I am a sucker for these varnished instruments.... Just as a back up bass.. I'll check the pickups... They will stay or upgraded with better J pickups... But that's it.
