AT LONG LAST! PICS!!

sweet - I really like that amber natural finish, works well with the gold hardware

don't think I've seen that on a BC before, only seen painted finishes.

well I sold my BC in the end a few months back, sold my SB301 for £175, part of me was sad to part with it as it was my first bass, but my fender american deluxe p-bass 5'er is so far advanced in so many ways I don't miss it now

now I'm hankering after a rickenbacker.....I've got GAS...again!

just spotted what I believe to be 3 new passive sb301 in Invalid Link Removed in doncaster

they had a sort of yellowy/gold coloured, one a white one and....er...can't remember but there was a third! all balck hardware, they were mint too and going at 299 GBP

interestingly they all looked new, had "Bass Collection" on them but no markings on the p'ups....no mention of SGC Nanyo or SX guitars anywhere...just a tiny "made in china" label...so I suspect they maybe be SX versions

I sppose I should have asked about them, but I was distracted by a fireglo rickebacker 4003!.....

Go to www.godlyke.com, click on "Godlyke Bass Collection" link on the menu at left. These basses are made by those who crafted SGC Bass Collection. They even have SGC brand pickups, and the body shape is the same as Bass Collection's last design (it was called Jive series then).

i think its an sb301....i picked it up from a pawn shop today

My second bass (owned from 1992-1996) was, I thought, an SB301 - but it was definitely passive and didn't have P/J pickups, but instead soapbars. What I know - passive, 4-string, "Bass Collection" and the color was what Warmoth calls "Flake Fuschia" - it was an awesome site to behold (and wrong in many many ways).

My freshman roommate called it "The Grit Mongler." :D I don't know what that means, but I liked it.

As best as I have been able to determine, the Bass Collection line consisted of the following:
SB301 - 4 string active 24 fret
SB302 - 4 string passive-only 22 fret
Sb303 - 4 string active fretless
SB305 - 5 string active 24 fret (your bass)
SB306 - 5 string active fretless
SB310 - 4 string active 24 fret (my bass, lower end of line)

I think the sb301 was passive...mine certainly was

Hey check this out:

Appart from being a different colour to mine, it's exactly the same right down to the brass nut. However, it's called an SB300 instead of a SB305... So mine is probably an SB300.

I don't think so...that looks like an SB305 too

Notice that on the pics there isn;t a model number anywhere
except on the back it says "SB300 series"....SB300 isn't the model number
