Oh! ATL area? Sure! I'm here. Well, some would say Acworth is closer to Chattanooga, but I work in Buckhead so let's just say I see a LOT of the city every single damned day.
Play a Fender Precision MIM, Squier 5-string and the love of my life (or at least my back), an Ibanez Saber SB900LE. Been noodling around in a band in Woodstock, mostly just Thu night practices but we'll probably be playing out more often after winter. Probably. Fender Rumble 500c for amp. (and don't nobody say anything negative about Fender Rumbles or Linnin will drop in and kick yer ass verbally).

Which reminds me, if anyone in the area is in need of a Hartke Hydrive 115c ( SamsonTech ) whose speaker has been replaced with a Eminence Legend by it's previous owner, let me know. Too heavy to sell anywhere outside the area. Picked it up a few months ago used for $250. Had a broken input jack that's since been fully repaired so it's good as new (other than not having the original Hartke speaker but it does sound good ). 250watts, but just not as punchy as my Rumble at 350w (plus another 150 if I ever add an extension cab).

It's just sitting in my living room, way too much for in-house use for me. Lowball me before Xmas and I'll probably be happy to get rid of it. (Or is selling stuff on otherwise normal threads verboten?) If so I'll delete the last paragraph and just say "Hi fellow ATL bass players!"

Ha Linnin. Tell him I said to suck it! Went to Acworth last Saturday and ate at Henry's. Cool little town.

I never introduced myself. I'm Dooley, live in lawrenceville and worknat Tacomac in Buford. Been playing semi seriously for a little over a year. First picked up a bass about 8 years ago cause my band director needed a bassist in jazz band. My first bass was an ibanez gio which I am rebuilding. My second was a Yamaha bb614 and recently got a 2013 Fender American Jazz bass deluxe 4 string. Running a Fender Rumble 350 head into an Ampeg Svt410hlf. Some pretty fat sounds I might say

Been here for about 17 years now and just a few weeks ago went up to Dahlonega for the first time, though we go up apple picking to Ellijay yearly. So yeah, pluck your strings and I'll poke my head out of the window and see if I can hear ya!

Yeah, Acworth's an ok place to raise a kid (which I did). Just close enough to ATL to be able to go to interesting places, but far enough away that it's not TOO close. Hella commute, but that's what books on tape are for, right?

That definitely sounds like a groovy old time. I generally work weekends, but usually Monday and Thursday nights I have some time to kill.
