A few things. Most Canadians don't want to live in a society where to be safe means having to walk around armed.

Despite our efforts to control guns there will always be ways to get one for those who absolutely want to and who will risk the penalties of being caught with one. But one of the biggest difficulties we face is the sheer amount of guns floating around our a certain country we share a border with.

Finally, one horrible shooting does not make a trend or an argument, to imply, and so snarkilly, that our efforts at controlling them is wildly exaggerated and ridiculous.

The bits about the invading terrorist hordes and the end of civilization I will let lie, naked and silly on the page.

But seriously very well said, here's hoping the Canadian and US Governments are able to avert any other tragedies like this.
