Audere classic 4 band

Well I saw some issues with hiss , hum , is it an install issue or it happnes to be that Audere are kind of tougher to install because of the way their preamps are built , I mean their Active Mixing designs compared to other preamps in the industry , just ask like that , I don t have any electronics basis , but it seems interesting

Not necessarily true in all cases of Bartolini's being used Jason.


I have attached a pic of my Wilkins J bass with 3 Bartolini single coil pickups with custom Audere pre and there is no hum at all.

Uh, if you're suggesting what I think you're suggesting, I would have to respond with a definite "No". If anything, Auderes may actually be easier to install than most other preamps, due to the number of pre-wired connectors that David Meadows typically provides - including leads with snap-in plugs, and leads that are already soldered to their respective pots.

I'm no electronics expert but it seems to me, it doesn't get any easier than that... :eyebrow:

I was just referring to the comparison of other pickups with the same amount of shielding and grounding done....barts tend to be slightly more finiky. Noise? They can be just as quiet as any other pickup...:)

I find "overkill" (shielding and grounding) works better for barts.........

Thanx for the comeback people here , anyways , it s an Audere that I want , sent in my order this week , but it will be someone else that will install it , easier on my health ...lol
A Classic 4_Band , appreciate the comebacks from you guys , grounding & sheilding is also important as I could see

I m more of a truck driver buddy , & I don t have any tools , before being a truck driver I was a metal machinist , got tired of it , sold my tools everything , now I wish I still got my tools! but **** happens right ! I hear you out there , I don t have patience for electronics matters , but it might change a bit ,

Ah ok , Rickett Customs , my choice are the Aero Instruments , why , I don t know but it s the ones I want , had a couple of chats with Larry out there , such a nice guy too , but for the PUs , it will be later on , out of job , but should get back to work shortly , nice wheater lately , so back in the pit .
