Yeah, especially since I have three tort guard machines in the music room.
But enough about us. Let me just say, I had and absolute blast at my regular gig last Saturday. My Monique through a couple of AudioKinesis Hathor 1203 cabinets! Oh and I was playing a brand new American Standard P bass (3TSB with a TORT GUARD). Wasn't even broke in yet!
The bassist for our Headliners, Link Removed, used my rig and was blown away. Their drummer even commented on the rig while I was playing. It's nice being able to hear your rig on your stage being played by a good musician. You become aware of how fortunate you are to have a killer rig. You also realize you have no excuses!
Glad to hear that!!! It is nice to hear your stuff from a lil bit of a distance so that you get a better judge of it! Did it give you good nipples? First time I played mine, it did!
The Hathor 1203 is intriguing. Anyone compare it to the Fearless stuff? I haven't tried the Fearless or the Fearful but I did own an Avatar TB153 and it was totally not my thing which makes me skeptical to go that direction. I love my Berg's HD's but I'm always keeping and eye open and honestly wouldn't mind dropping some weight.
How loud is a pair of the 1203's? I'd assume at least in 410 territory with the 3012LF's.

I haven't played Fearful/Fearless/Nearful gear, but I have played through, and owned, Berg cabs. What I instantly noticed about the 1203 was how clear the tone was. Just full and clear. I love the mid presence the cabs have. They really bring out the best in my heads.
Keep in mind when considering the 1203 cab: The 1203 has two switches in the rear that allows you to "adjust" the highs and mids. The first switch changes the high frequency and the second switch changes the mid bump. It is a wonderful and highly effective tool at your disposal. I generally like both of them in the up or "on" position. However, in certain instances I will make adjustments. So, when you are running two cabs, that equals four switches with which to use.
From Dukes description of the 1203:"switchable between 3.5 kHz and 12 kHz (-3 dB points). Another switch toggles between smooth mids and a bit of grind in the mids." Plus it has a pluggable rear port.
These cabs are loud. Of course volume can be subjective. I have used a pair several time in outdoor gigs and they held their own just fine. For ultimate efficiency, I generally do a vertical stack configuration. I stated recently in another post that I wouldn't want to play in a band where the two 1203 cabs weren't enough. For rehearsals, I use one 1203 with a ToneHammer 500. For gigs, I use two 1203s with a Monique pre/Crest ProLITE 2.0 rig. They pump out some serious volume.

I haven't played either (yet, but hope springs eternal) but I went with hathor over fearless because they are smaller, lighter, two are about the same price as 1 F112 and Duke is so cool about sharing his knowledge without sounding condescending. My guess is the fearless might be a touch louder and deeper but I had a thunderchild 212 and it was insanely loud so it'll probably be OK.
The berg cn212 is a wonderful cab but I felt like trying something different. The berg hd210 I had the opportunity to play once was a beast, both soundwise and weightwise.

Thanks for the info guys! I may pop for one 1203 later this summer and give it a run. If it's my thing I'll order a second. Then again if Duke has a 212 out soon I'd probably just go that route.
At 6'4" I think those ports(for lack of a better word) for the mid driver seem like a great idea.

I'm your height, and although my 4-ohm Acoustic-Friendly Thunderchild has the best dispersion of any small cab I've ever owned, it is possible to lose track of the upper mids and highs if I stand too close to it. Even though I ordered it with a tiltback foot.
It's not a problem in most venues, but I have been on small stages where a Hathor would have been even nicer...
