I just talked to Duke yesterday. He's still in the process of relocating to Texas. Fortunately for me (unfortunate for my bank account), he'll be living about 15 minutes from my house.
I've got a bad tweeter in one of my cabs and even though he's in the middle of the home buying/moving process, he still said he'd fix it as soon as the part comes in.

So I had a bad compression driver in one of my TC112 cabs. I contact Duke since I know he is now living in north Texas and I figured I would work out a way to drive to him at his convenience, drop off the cab for repair and work out a time to pick it up.

Get this...he not only responds in the middle of closing on a new house but offers (and quite frankly insists) on coming to MY HOUSE to repair my cab.
On a Saturday. In the middle of his move.

I'm trying to remember the last time any designer/builder of any of my gear made the offer to come to my house to repair it...Oh yeah, now I remember...
NEVER.

Duke took the time out of his day to drive to me, talk me through the details of the components of my cab, fully explain the steps of the repair and then talked to me at length about his designs, cabinet voicing, speaker preferences, etc.

Seriously...one of the nicest guys I've ever encountered in addition to being a frickin' genius.

Yep. Had a gig last Sunday and my rig sounded stellar. Got some nice compliments from other players. I still want an 8 ohm TC112, but the 212 is just superlative.

As is Duke. There is no one else like him.

I did a show last night, and used Monique with my 1203 cabs. I just wanted to post for anyone that is new to this thread:

I stacked the 1203 cabs horizontally (I play on a riser). They sounded great! I got a lot of compliments on them. In fact the headliners bassist asked if he could use my rig. He was blown away with the rig.

So, don't be afraid of stacking these cabs horizontally. They sound just fine. Of course I still stack them vertically when applicable. Just depends on the venue.

I have not tried mine like that.. will have to put some extra feet on mine to do that..

Additional feet are not necessary. Duke uses stacking corners so you are good to go (both horizontally and vertically)!

I don't restrict my options by just stacking vertically. There are times when the vertical options are optimal as well as horizontally.

Really want to hear one (or two!) of the 1203s before I buy. Luckily, I'm stalling as Duke gets settled into his new home anyways . Also excited for what is on the horizon with the Hathor 15xx to come.

I'm also very excited about the Hathor 15xx!! Can't decide if I want that or a TC 212 yet. I'm in love with my TC 112 V2 so that gives me an idea of what the 212 would be like. Good thing I don't have the funds yet anyways so I'm going to be forced to wait and see

Ah, I see. Well in that case, I believe I would place a small towel between the two. As long as they are stable and don't move around. Or you could get some small feet to place on the side. I would check with Duke but there appears to be plenty of room and I don't think it would hurt anything.

I actually like your corners. They look pretty solid.

Personally, I plan on replacing my stacking corners. I like the ones on the Aguilar GS112 cabs much better. The corners are rounded and very solid feeling (But that's just a personal preference).

I hear that stainless steel corners have more upper mids.

Plus, they're best for Metal.
