I continue to be amazed by these cabs. I ran a 1505 and 1203 stack with my jazz ensemble on Sunday with the mid growl in the ‘smooth’ setting and the tone was outstanding. Cut straight through and was all we needed in an outdoor venue.
That's a killer looking setup, congrats on getting GAS-free! I'm also going to use a Bass Block with mine, I really like how this amp sounds with Duke's cabs and the volume-to-weight ratio is redonkulous!
Yesterday after work I got an e-mail from Duke : My Changeling 112T will soon be on its way and I'm beyond excited! I have a gig coming up on the 14th, and then others in August and September so I'll be able to give it a proper test drive on stage very soon after receiving it.
Happy 4th of July, from one of your neighbors up North. I sincerely hope politicians will never succeed in damaging the friendship between our nations.

Living 1.5 hrs from Montreal, we are there a lot, we have many Canadian friends, and we know that laughing at each other’s politicians is great sport on both sides of our border

Indeed! One of the towns close to the Vt / Quebec border is Chambly, PQ. There's a fort there you can visit and read about how pre-American invading forces from the south were repulsed by the residents of that fortification in 1775 - told from the Canadian perspective. Fortunately, US troops didn't have to go far to return home and turn promptly to the business of winning their independence from Britain. ...and we all know how that went

i run two 1203s + a D800. great rig, sounds simply terrific, all i could ever ask for, but you know how it is...lately i'm jonesing hard for a 1505. how long have you had yours? how is it as a stand alone cab? i play mostly 4 string Precision & Jazz basses - blues, rock, souped up r&b. any words of wisdom appreciated.

I have run my Changeling 1533 as a stand-alone with my Monique 700. It’s outstanding in that situation (P & J fours in those genres).
I also have a D800+ and it works great with that head too.
Guys I have two tc112s and they sound great with either 4P and 6Fbass through a bassman 500 head.
I think we need to put together a big 'compatibility matrix'. It'll initially seem complicated until we start connecting the dots and realize that Duke's cabs sound great with all basses and heads, and just end up with a single cell that says 'yes'.

I think with Duke's cabs the real question comes down to whether you like that purer, more PA cab type voicing or something that is oriented a bit more towards more typical electric bass cabs but with greater flexibility in voicing and a cleaner yet warm sound due to his focus more on the first fundamental than low bass extension. His cab recipes seem to pair well with any amp or bass IME.
The 1505 sounds great by itself. For your genres I can't imagine it not doing the job in a way you'll love. It's a big cab but I got it precisely so I could do the following:
1203 alone in smaller gigs
1505 alone in larger indoor gigs
1505 + 1203 in outdoor gigs
Any combination of the above from the audience's perspective just kills.
Now is the 1505 THAT much better than 2 1203's? That I can't answer but I'd guess the 1505 would have a bit more girth.
IMO, if you love a full-range tone or just want that as a clean palet starting point for devices such as a modeling unit or something like the DMS Noisemaker OCSD or Tech 21 Q\Strip, the ThunderChild is a wonderful line of cabs. Otherwise the Hathor or Birdhaus are where to go to get your groove on.
