Indeed! I'm going to see him in 8 days, I can't wait. I imagine he's coming to your burg as well.
nope
not even STL or KC.
Bummer!nope
not even STL or KC.
No problem. I saw him there three years ago and it really was great. Had tickets to see him there last year, but would up too sick to go.Nice! Thanks for the heads-up. I missed fIREHOSE last time through here. Schuba's would be a great place to see him.
True. But I'm a Florida native, and far too many good non-major acts just skipped the state entirely when I was young.Yeah... some things I don't miss about MO. :/ The flip side, though, is that while everyone comes through big cities, they charge a lot more than if the show was in a smaller city for a similar venue. (IME with Chicago and SF compared to STL).
Had my first upright gig with the TC115 last night. Piano trio with guitar instead of drums at a wedding reception. This band has been hearing my rig with TC Electronics rs212, and then a markbass 2x10, and now the Audiochild. The guitar player's comment was, it sounds "normal" like the bass only louder. He has never said that before, and I didn't change any other part of my signal chain. Pretty damn good compliment from a guitar player. I myself noticed that little things like the snap of the strings when I really dig in, and subtle little rattles and vibrato were really apparent, which so helps the overall musicality of the performance.
Duke, would you like a beta tester in the Northeast? I'm in Portland, ME and do a lot of gigs on P bass and upright, music theater pits and rock and roll bands.
Thank you for that feedback, Chef, engedi1 and Duke.
For your playing context, the TC112 might be perfect for you. Smaller footpring on stage, and MUCH more output than the typical 112. It will save you a few pounds and a bit of room in the pit.
Thank you Steve, these are pretty small theaters, probably the 112 is plenty most of the time. But I'm thinking the compact 115 for the SPL potential and I hear its got nicer mids and highs.
