Hey joker thanks. One (well, 2) reasons i'm considering the eureka is for the compressor and eq. And I'm thinking of pairing it up with a JDI. But no effects loop you say? I could have sworn it had an insert before the compressor = effects loop...

Tara labs sells really expensive cables of all kinds--the power cables get up to $1000 bucks, I believe. Check out "the one"

It's a miracle anybody ever got a good sound without this tuff, isn't it? I have so far managed with the generic power cord that came with my U5....

I used to own a U-5,and really loved it until I heard the Millennia TD-1! Do yourself a favor and try a TD-1 before you buy the U-5,you will be glad you did.

Granted I didn't get to a/b both through the same peripherals but I was more impressed with the TD-1's I've checked out over the U5 I owned for a few weeks. Depends on what you want.

Not that the U5 was bad... in one instance I bypassed the preamp on my AMP BH-420 and used the U5 and while it sounded good it didn't blow my skirt up. I preferred the AMP's pre over it. Sold the U5 to a friend, who loves it.
