I got my 2x10 to go with my 2x12, and I must say, it rocks! I love the added midrange growl it gives my sound. For those of you with this setup, what do you set your tweeters on each cab at? Just curious as to how to incorporate them. Hopefully, I'll have pics soon.

I'm currently running that setup and leave the tweeter controls on both cabs at 11:00, and power them with a Shuttle 6.0 (mostly flat EQ, just a slight bump up on the bass knob). I use a variety of basses that have varying shades of brightness and dial back the treble (or tone) knobs on the basses themselves if I need to.

I was wondering what the wattage is on it, all it says on the back is that its 4ohm and underneath it that something has been marked out with a sharpie.

So far loving it, I was looking for something to leave at my practice space and smaller then my Mesa Ph4x12 for gigs. I can't believe the quality of this thing, especially for the price.

The Delta 10's with Ceramic magnet are rated 350 watts RMS each so that would be about 1400 watts RMS. The 4x10 Neo cabs are 1000 watts RMS. Keep in mind if you drive it with even an amp rated 300 watts and have the amp dime'd you can burn out the voice coils due to peak distortion that clips the sinewave into a more squarewave waveform. You want to use an amp you do not have to turn up more than 1/2 to 2/3's to get the volume needed.

The Delta 10's with Ceramic magnet are rated 350 watts RMS each so that would be about 1400 watts RMS. The 4x10 Neo cabs are 1000 watts RMS. Keep in mind if you drive it with even an amp rated 300 watts and have the amp dime'd you can burn out the voice coils due to peak distortion that clips the sinewave into a more squarewave waveform. You want to use an amp you do not have to turn up more than 1/2 to 2/3's to get the volume needed.

You started out right, but don't confuse mechanical handling limits with the under powering myth.

Keep in mind if you drive it with even an amp rated 300 watts and have the bass knob dime'd you can exceed the mechanical limit (x-lim) of the driver. Clipping can kill tweeters, but you don't see Marshall guitar cabs blowing drivers because of distortion, do you?

Just got in contact with a guy who is selling a red 8ohm 4x10 Neo. Really hoping to pick it up tonight!! Comes with a vinyl cover and some casters he added himself. This will be replacing my GK Backline 410 and powered by a Hartke LH500. I think this with another 410 neo and I'll be set. All I want to do now is switch my Devi Ever Hyperion for a SansAmp VT Bass pedal! So excited!!

You will be happy with that setup if you can get the cab. The Avatar cabs are on a whole other level then the GK Backline series.

I'm guessing he means the 4x10 neo that the guy is selling.

dacalac, I also have a few pedals I've used with my Avatar cabs (B210 & B212 neos). Not the VT, but I've used the tube pre on my Shuttle 6.0, Sansamp Bass Driver, Pork Loin and Keeley Sparkle Drive. I just got a Catalinbread SFT in, will be able to give it a try through live rigs on Thursday/Saturday.

If you're just asking if they sound good? You bet!

Where do you guys set your tweeters while you're running these effects? I have a cheap Zoom B1 multi effects unit that sounds very bad when I have overdrive turned on slightly because it overdrives my tweeter, also.

I leave the tweeter control on both my cabs at about 10 o'clock.

If you're having trouble with just the overdrive effect in the Zoom, check the EQ setting in the pedal? Might be set too high with the overdrive.

I don't have my cab here, but I usually play with mids scooped, lows and highs boosted. Tweeter usually set at just over 50%.

The overdrive I use is barely overdriven, just adds a little bit of grit when I dig in, that's all. I've been thinking about picking up a VT pedal for a very long time, and was just concerned about the tweeter. I think maybe the overdriven sound coming from the tweeter could just be from the low quality pedal. It does the job, but I figure I may upgrade now while I have the cash.

It depends on who you play with, what the mix is.

It seems like even when I'm just jamming alone with my 212 neo and Peavey Tour 700 I still get this. And I practice at a fairly reasonable level. I don't even think I wouldn't really use the VT to get overdriven tone, not for most songs. I would most likely use it just to add a little bit of grit.

I'm mostly talking about the tweeter problem being noticeable when I play in drop D or Standard. My main band plays in drop C, and I don't use my pedal for this band, but keep the tweeter very high.

A bit of an issue here is that the Tour 700 has almost too many settings available... It can be a bit hard to dial in sometimes.

I've got to agree with you, on that one. I remember reading up that you used to have one, and sold it for the 6.0. That was you... right? I'm thinking I'm just going to start bypassing the EQ on the Tour 700 and just use my basses EQ.
