Blew up the delta lf in my sb112 the other night. Didn't realize it until I plugged in at a 16 piece big band gig in a club. Fuzz bass. I thought my new Hartke LH500 burnt up but at home it tested out fine. Opened up the cabinet to check for the obvious. Crossover didn't smell burnt. Touched the speaker and it creaked. Dreaded voice coil rub. Called Avatar after an email and I will repeat this: Avatar's customer service is absolutely the best. They hooked me up with a replacement at a more than decent price and discussed whether I wanted to change from 4 ohms to 8 ( various reasons) which we decided to leave at 4 for now. In all very responsive and committed to ensuring they have a great product out there. Love my cab, love them guys at Avatar.

I really dont know how this "club" thing works. I just picked up a new Avatar 212 NEO, and 210 NEO in the blue tolex.

They sound tough to beat with my GK 700RB II.

Can I get a number????

Just bought a 'flaw in tolex' Blonde, NEOB210 (my 3rd avatar cab, 2nd NEOB210) for a great price off that auction site.
Quite frankly, I cannot find any physical flaws on the tolex or cab in general and it sounds great (as expected).
No need for a number just chiming my satisfaction with Avatar cabs!

This thread is 32 pages long and I'm only #140??:eyebrow:

There has to be more than 140 players here that own Avatar. Even if it's not their main cab.

There's certainly more...guys who are too busy playing to post or don't frequent boards, for example.

Most of the 'club' threads have many more posts than members at talkbass, because it's a thread for avatar chat as well as member additions :bassist::cool:

Excellent! I've got my orange Neo 212 and 410 cabs in 4ohms. Thinking about an eight ohm set and thought the 212, 210 combo would be mighty sweet. Now do I go white tolex or line-x? or both? Hrmmm...

Just got a used Avatar 210 NEO. Is there any easy way to verify that its actually Neo and not one of the older 210's? It sounds great and I'd rather not pull the speaker to look at the back if I can avoid it.

OK, sorry took me longer than I thought. Pictured is my "Rick" stereo rig. GK 700 RB II, GK 400RB IV, Avatar 210, Avatar 212 ran stereo. It simply kicks butt.

I received my base model 4 ohm B212 Neo on Wednesday from Dave and Co., and I'm very happy. I play passive Fenders, a P/J and a Jazz, through a Nemesis NA650, and this cab is thunderous! Gobs of low end and a very responsive tweeter control. Plus, I think I'm getting a buzz from that new carpet smell!

Lowendblues, your stack is killer! What does the 210 add tonally to the soloed 212? I may have to go that route if and when I need another cab.

I've read a couple things about these cabs sounding even better after breaking in the crossover, which I don't understand. Can someone dumb it down for me?
