Awesome Super Cheap Bass OD #2

wouldn't you know it? it's another pedal from Joyo. IMO, this thng is frickin' awesome at any price, but I got mine shipped for only $37.90! it can go from completely transparent and clean, to a super heavy overdrive and anything in between. tons of eq options with the BMT tonestack along with the voice' control. the OD is great sounding, smooth and dynamic. and unlike the Ultimate Drive, this one doesn't need repainting. I knew that I loved it within 5 seconds of plugging it in. if they keep this up, i'm going to have to stop making my own pedals (like that's ever going to happen )

I ordered the white one not too long ago, the California, I hope it's as good as this one. I know it's modeled differently along the lines of a Mesa but I'm hoping it's like the American too. We shall see.

At the risk of almost certainly making another uneeded overdrive purchase.... could you please put up some clips? my Ultimate drive came a week ago and its definitely in heavy rotation... for thirty-five dollars shipped these pedals are a steal.....

i'll try to in the next couple of days. while I think that the UD is very good and I love mine, IMO, this one is a lot better.

To me the "character" nob on the character series pedals acts like a 2nd midrange eq after the drive stage. I'm assuming the "voice" is the Joyo's version of the "Character" nob.

you're correct that it's an extra mid knob, but it's actually BEFORE the drive stage. the three band eq is all post drive stage.

If anyone cares to know, this is how I run my jf-14. Gives just a touch of OD when I dig in, and its overall a bright sound with thick mids. Great pedal

it's possible. you'd just have to build a circuit for it. the XLR won't fit in it unless you remove the battery completely and always run it with a power supply.

You could inquire with "Putnam" hes done all kinds of mods to Tech 21 pedals which this pedal supposedly is a copy of. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] I look forward to your soundclip John. I could use an Overdrive to fill in for solos etc. in my current 3 piece band & at $38 it really isn't a risky purchase.
