all you'd have to do is build one of these, build a small charge pump circuit for it, wire its input to the output jack of the JF-14, and install an XLR for the direct out.

I spent a bit of time at the Joyo booth at NAMM, and honestly wasn't all that impressed with their pedals for guitar. Bass might be a different story though, and for 38 bucks you can't really say no. I wonder how hard it would be to mod this thing with a clean blend...

you'd have to use a DI circuit that has an adjustable output to drive an amp. the one that I posted just makes it low impedance and is at mic level.
Got mine for $6 with an Amazon gift card left over from Christmas. I better get my money's worth.

if this really is a Blonde clone, it kind of makes you wonder why people haven't been raving about that one on bass before. It's not like Tech21 is not a bass friendly or anything

here's a quick clip of the JF14. first bypassed, then clean, then slight gain, and raising the gain thereafter.

Cool, I get that. The tech 21 pedals can drive a power amp from the 1/4 out, just wondered if this could also.

I had one for a while... think I broke it. It has a built in speaker sim that cannot be turned off. Somebody out there found out the mod required to bypass the sim. I did it myself, and found that the bass was cut as a result. Very annoying.

Well I ordered the "other one" from Amazon Dec 31st...it arrived YESTERDAY from China. Since ordering, you've picked a new favorite :'(
I know that many have said that the UD had no low end loss although I have found that at light distortion I do loose some low end.
Not sure if you guys have had this same issue but am only interested in this box if it did not loose anything EQ wise.
I thought the UD was a killer pedal at a great price; does the tonal character at light overdriven settings sound similar?
Gotta admit John, that sounds pretty darn good. It sounds like it retains the highs better than the Ultimate Drive too... Man, now I feel like I gotta know what the other pedals in the line sound like too. Not good for my bank account.
