This is gonna be freaking awesome! It's literally going to be wall to wall bass cabs and heads...and oh, the basses! This will be like the bass store of our dreams!

I really hate that I have to wait almost 3 more weeks for this :'(

Is there an official date for this? I didn't see it stated.

I too am quite excited for it. :) I only wish I had a bunch of cool gear to bring.

rpsands and I have been beta testing a new Audiokinesis prototype cab model here in Phoenix over the last month or so. Duke has given me the green light to bring this very cool cab to our Sept-16th GTG for you guys to see and try out.

I'm planning on getting to the GTG early and setting all my gear up just left of the stage area. You cant miss me, I'll be the 6'-6" tall guy with a pony tail & a bunch of tube powered amps set-up near the stage. So If anyone's interested, feel free to stop by and try out this 4-ohm prototype cab

PS:
Just In case we get a huge turnout: Don't forget to bring an extension cord and a power strip!

Sounds good Ari. Not sure if I'm gonna drive alone so I can go hang with family who live in Phx too. But let's talk for sure. If I don't do the family thing, it would be awesome to drive up with you. I'm in from early to late. Don't want to miss a thing!

I just realized...Is anyone here not 21 years old? 18 years old? Does Ice House tavern care?

I'll try to give the bar a call this afternoon and find out. I need to ask them if we can move/stack a few of the parimiter tables to make more space for setting up bass gear anyway.

That's a good thought as my 16 yr old son who is also a bass player (and gtr and drums) might be interested in coming.

Aside from that, What time should we get there to set up gear?

You could start setting up anytime after 1pm.
But my local bass playing buddies and I already called "double-dog dibs" on that small stage-right area :p

Hey y'all, I have a GenzBenz Uber 4X10 cab I would like to sell. I'm giving all of you local players first dibs before I post it in the classifieds. I can bring it to the GTG if you want to try it out. It's a 4ohm cab and is in used but good shape. Has some minor scuffs, but no rips in the Tolex. These are great solid cabs. This has been my main cab for the past year and has about 40 gigs on it. PM me if you are interested and want to see some pics. I would like to get somewhere around $700 for it. Here is a link to the GB website. Invalid Link Removed

I plan on attending, but my schedule can change quickly.

With all the cool gear you guys are bringing, not sure I could contribute anything in terms of equipment.

Looking forward to hearing instead of reading about some of the gear, especially the fearfuls.

I just checked with the Ice House staff about this:

They will alow any aged children/underaged-guest until around 7pm, as long as they're accompanied by a parent/legal guardian, and dont drink alcoholic beverages...

I also got permission to move/stack some of the tables near the stage area, so we'll have plenty of room to set up lots of bass rigs

But remember, you may not be located anywhere close to a 110-volt power outlet, so dont forget to bring a good 25/50ft extension cord and a power strip just in case!
