Hello all out there in the EUB world. Well....when I closed the doors back in 2010, I kept all my machines, wood, partially made parts, metal parts to be machined and patterns and templates. Thinking I would get back to it at some point. I have made a few instruments through these 13 years, but nothing like the amount I used to make.
So, I'm interested in selling most everything I have involved the building of the full range of Azola basses. I sold some of my patterns and parts to a couple woodworkers looking to go down the EUB path, but I have a lot left.
I won't be asking for a lot of money, just a token amount so I don't have to feel like I gave it all away. I'm located in North San Diego county, if anyone would like to come and have a look. Or, I'm pretty good at packing, so I could pack and ship.
A quick inventory of most of what I have:
Neck patterns
body patterns
body side bending jigs for acoustic Baby Basses, mini basses.
A half dozen laminated Baby Bass tops and backs
a dozen laminated Mini Bass tops and backs
body molds for fiberglass Baby Basses
Body gluing cauls for most body sizes
Lots of templates for lots of things
Cast aluminum parts for tailpieces, endpin blocks
Some rough shaped fingerboards
A batch of Cello tuners for scroll headstocks
Wood: Hard and Soft Maple, Ash, Striped Ebony, Bubinga, African Mahogany, about
Half figured, some heavily, 3/4, 4/4, 6/4, 8/4. Quite a bit of thin Maple and other for side bending, other thin woods too for tops etc.
As for the machines, most are available. But there are none that are special left. They could be bought in your are, if you're out of town. If you're close, we could talk.
So if any of you might be interested, let me know. I'd like to sell it all in one package. I'll be moving from where I currently live, sometime next year, and need to scale down.
Thanks to all,
Steve Azola

I'll post some photos as soon as I sort through them all.
