I'm not sure if I posted this, but I wanted to add that while I was on the wait list, a used bass came into the shop. I decided to purchase it instead because it was very close in specs to what I wanted.

Will you be able to charge Customs to repair the bass? I was considering a Columbian bass but now I'm not so sure.

I can file a claim. I would need to submit at least two itemized signed statements or estimates by reliable, disinterested parties. I am working on it.

because of these inconvenients ....sincerelly ,i`m considering move the MOG factory to another country ...but is too hard obtain a permission/visa ....specially ,in USA.

in this moment ,i have 3 process with the shipping companies (fedex,dhl ,Usps ) for the same case: damages (scratches ,broken pots , but no drilled holes fortunatelly ...)
all basses are strictly/carefully packaged ..but the customs officers not respect nothing ...!


anyone interested in help me ...?

Can you send me an estimate to have it repaired, so I can present that to customs? I probably won't have it repaired, but I'd like to get a refund from them for the damage.

The problem is not only with M.O.G, it’s with all the companies right now at the moment. Blady and Sendel are having the same issues lately and it doesn’t matter with what company it is sent with. Not only does this type of incident damage the name of your companies but it will turn people away. I filed a complaint about the bag that the bass came in because they completely ruined it. No matter what I will always keep buying Colombian basses. I wish you the best of luck fighting the current delivery issues going on.

I met a guy once who had the original but had replaced the (aluminum?) bridge with a more conventional one and used an underwood with it. I played it for only a few minutes but found the response (bow and pizz) very pleasant compared to most other EUBs I've tried.

I selled 900 Basses aprox, and only 11 with scratches-holes, including the order to Nickybass
I'm very bored by this... like 2 several disgruntled customers demand a new instrument free ...and threatening to speak bad comments about my company in Talkbass ...:scowl:
Im`not guilty for damages caused by customs officers...

Remember:each 10 basses sended ,only 1 arrival with scratches ...and generally ,the express post agencies gives all warranties for damages. From here, the basses are packaged properly ...

this problematic ( missing or damaged packages) is around the world...

I love my MOG bass. It sounds and feels great. I am going to file a claim with customs, and make them pay for it. You did not do anything wrong. I would probably still order one from Colombia again.

I didnt have to do anything on my end except send pictures and an email. Blady did everything, and should be sending me a gig bag soon. I learned my lesson with these full size BB. From now on I will opt for mini basses only.

Spirocore solo gauge, on a baby bass of course.

Yeah, Thomastik Spirocore solos are very popular. My MOG, I think, has Thomastik Superflexibles on it. I'm not 100%, but I think the blue silks are a good indicator. They are definitely Thomasik strings.
