This is the bass I just brought from Blady (same color scheme as well). Its caleld the "Freddy Combo". It wieghs less than half of what all the other traditional Ampeg replicas wieght. So much easier to transport around to gigs. I can't wait to see what your M.O.G looks like and want to see what you write about its sound.

No bass yet. According to the customs number, it left Colombia, but I don't know where it is now. I hope it comes by the end of the week.
Well if its in Miami now that means you will get it by Saturday hopefully. When it hits Miami its going thru customs. Start praying right about now that customs dosnt destroy the bass and or gig bag. My gig bag got ripped apart by customs. Thankfully Blady claimed the insurance on the item and is sending me one next week.
The tracking updates say that it 'cleared' customs one minute after it arrived, so I am hoping that they just passed it through!!!
What make is that bass? I think it looks nice, very modern. Looks like a replica of Blady's Freddy Combo model unless it is a Blady's but I've never seen that one before. I dont like the fact that it has that aluminum bridge. I know some people say that its the ideal bridge for a baby bass but I'm not a fan. And if you notice, this bass has nylons on it. To be honest they look like nylons that blady sent to me on my white bass. Check out the picture of my white bass and you'll see them on there.
I don't know who made it. I emailed the seller to ask him. I really like the look too, though his asking price is very high.
That is a nice bass. Did a search on google and all I could find were links to baby bass (fish) and turtles. It might be a custom build or someone was bored and built it themselves.

Over priced like the Ramierez! lol For that price you can get yourslef an Ampeg BB in nice condition. I would buy one but its just too much to haul around for gigs.
The M.O.G. came today. I am pleasantly surprised with how nice it sounds. Customs really did a number on it, so it took me a little while to get it set up, but now it plays great and sounds nice. I only spent a few hours with it, so I cannot offer any definitive conclusions, but I will share my initial thoughts.
The neck feels great and there is a slight 'V' at the heel. I love how the fingerboard is a thick slab. It is really comfortable to play.
The tone is great. It has a nice loud output. It has a bit more sustain and is a bit less full than the original, but I am really happy with the way it sounds in relation to the original. I guess nothing will be exact...
The body finish could be a bit more refined. It is a nice color, and seems durable, but I would have liked it to be smoother/glassier. The neck finish looks great though.
Everything works as it should, and it sounds nice. I will be using this when it isn't practical or too risky to bring the Ampeg.
I need to get it on the bandstand, but so far so good.

Thanks Alvaro. I think I will probably use a preamp with it to get a bit more punch and low end, and maybe a slight boost of the output. Overall, the bass is nice. There are some flaws and some things that could have been executed neater, but really, when you figure in shipping costs and a set of $200 strings (which I'm sure he doesn't buy in bulk) then the bass costs less than the NS WAV that I used to own...which, btw, the NS had some finish flaws and minor issues as well.
Customs actually drilled a hole in one of the side bouts. One of the pot shafts is broken and there are some screws missing from the pickup assembly. I cannot imagine how they can justify drilling into another persons property. Especially when the inside is easily viewed by looking into the neck pocket. (The neck shipped unattached.) Or they could have looked in the pickup cavity.
