I put a Dimarzio in my American Standard. Made it way better in my opinion.Throw a better pickup in that AmStd and I think you'll change your mind.

Wasn't serious, but I've seen others come across that type of thing.If someone tells me "were only looking for Fender players" I tell them I'm not interested and move on.

I'm positive that there may be a handful of gigs where someone asks for players who only use Fenders. I've never heard that at any of my gigs - and it's a good thing -- I don't own any Fender basses.
