Backup basses...because only one bass is inconceivable!

The 5'er gets spanked, the other one gets plucked :D

What's your backup?
I own these two just in case I ever get invited to one of those “Ummm, we’re only looking for Fender players” engagements.

Seriously, they both get the job done...and what more can anyone want?

I’ve only taken one bass to gig forever. I own 2, but they serve different musical purposes.

I'm positive that there may be a handful of gigs where someone asks for players who only use Fenders. I've never heard that at any of my gigs - and it's a good thing -- I don't own any Fender basses.

I recently saw an audition notice that said "passive bass players preferred." I thought this was an oddly educated way to specify that. I suspect the band's guitarist might be one of us, turned to the dark side.

Or, they really want a bass player who is quiet and easy-going!
