Bad days

Say it isn't so....... I always feel that way.

Does anyone else have days where they feel like there terrible musicians. Or you just get super frustrated at your practice
I go through whole blocks of time when I feel like this. It fades away when I make some progress. I think it comes from me hitting lulls in progress as a player. Then boom I start moving forward again and it's all sunshine and rainbows till the next lull.

I bought my second bass 6 years and one month ago. I had tried to learn bass in high school in the late 70's but, never could pick it up (no internet back then). As I said I started again in 2010 & I am no where near where I wish I were. I still do not know my scales, modes or such or how to improvise on a song I don't know. I am in a 3 piece classic rock/country band and with work and everything I just don't have time for anything but learning songs. I play by getting the chord charts for the guitar for songs I want to learn & use them, along with listening to the song to figure out the bass part. So yes there are just days I feel like crap

I have bad days around just about everything, not only music. When I'm in them it feels like that's all that exists. Thankfully they pass. I've learned to just ride them out.

I think it goes hand in hand with being an artist. For some it's more intense than for others.
I do too. But they pass for me too. Bad days may be a crushing deadload but tomorrow will be better!

Today was my good day!
It got up to 75F, almost like Summer.

I took my G&L out on the back porch with the little Rumble 15. I had to turn it up all the way when the kids came out to play, but I was rocking so hard that I hardly noticed them.

I had forgotten that I turned the bass knob back some on Sunday, so I was relieved when all the fatness came back after I turned it back up.
