Bad Singers who made it

I'm surprised that band mate it at all, they suck like there is no tomorrow. And they've been sucking for years! :scowl:

hell yea i am going to be deported for agreeing but they are terrible i do not like mush old Australian music in general we have just gotten good in the last 20 years IMO

iron maidens vocals can annoy me, sometimes even jimmy page annoys me i do not realy like the whole rock god falsetto thing

Most Rock super stars cant really sing well but combined with the music it works. Look at the examples that were already given ....how about Mick Jagger?

You want good vocals go to Country the majority there can sing real well.

Very very few singer that sing off key have made it.
Very very few singers that lack attitude, energy or charisma have made it.
Very very few singers that have a poor phrasing have made it.

Most of the singers mentioned here only have a strange voice quality, or timbre. They are definitely not bad singers.

The worst famous singer I know is Bobby Kimball from Toto. I've seen Toto live twice with him as a frontman, and his performances were as their best only on the limit to approved. The rest of the band was fantastic both times. bobby sang off key very often, and when he was on key, it mostly sounded too strained. I have heard that he has been giving great performances as well, I guess that's what keeps him as a band member.

The singers with the worst timbre I know are Donald Fagen from Steely Dan, and Bob Dylan.
