Played through the Wild Goose this evening Jimmy. Hadn't messed with it much since last summer. I gotta say, it sounds soooooo good when it's all warmed up and being driven hard through my streamliner 900. Glad to see you're back on the tinker bench.
JimmyM got banned for one month. We don't know exactly why and those that do, can't talk about it because of TB rules on bans.

I've talked to JimmyM several times on PM's and in threads. Super dude in my interactions. I'm showing my support for his return to talkbass. He is, in my opinion, an asset to this forum (especially in the Ampeg department). And, it's funny how many James Brown in Devo hats you are starting to see around TB.
I certainly can make one. I haven't had time to build up any stock yet except for the Heartbreaker.

I arrived home from the airport late last night so I didn't hook it up to my full rig, but quickly running it into my Tascam MP-BT1 I was impressed. My wife walked in and started laughing at me, apparently I had a stupid grin on my face while messing around with it. I can't wait to give it a full workout tonight. I'll see if I can record some sound clips, too.
It seemed to work well with the P&G ahead of it, too. On the same subject, I used the P&G at a gig on Saturday and the bass player in the band after us now wants one and wanted to use mine for his set! I pointed him to your site, who knows if he will actually follow through with it though.
Also, the LED's you put in both of them are quite bright, I'll never have to worry about knowing whether they are on or not.

I've been working on it. Waiting for some parts and working 60-70 hours a week has it on hold, but come March 1 I'll be clear to work on it.
Spent the last few hours with the Heartbreaker...I really like it, a great combination of subtle drive with nice warmth. It can still get dirty though, especially on my active pickup 5-string. The different sounds of pedals between the active and passive mode (and between basses) always intrigue me, maybe I'm just easily amused. I'll try to put some clips up tomorrow.
I just got my first passive bass in over 11 years. It REALLY sounds great through the Wild Goose. I'm going to plug it through the Wayfarer and Honeycomb here in a bit. Awesome.
Ok B1S gents, here's my new bass through some B1S goodness. Please excuse the playing. I literally played this bass for about 15 minutes before I recorded this. It feels a lot different than my other bass, so there is a small learning curve with it. Also, I had just got home from the gym and my arms and fingers were all rubbery. Enough excuses.

Alright, I was typing from my phone earlier (ergo the thrift with words), but those were some sweet tones. I loved the way the Wild Goose was sounding toward the end, not to mention the Motorhead tones coming out of the Wayfarer for a while there. You could totally rock some Ace of Spades with that thing dimed.
I play only passive instruments, so I design around that aesthetic. Most of them work pretty well with active stuff, but they shine with a passive setup. I also only make a pedal as a production unit if I feel like it does something qualitatively different than something else. So, for instance, even though it might look like a Phat Phuk with that one little knob I don't know anything that acts quite like the Wayfarer on bass.
Same with the new joint. This may surprise you, but she is the product of me wishing that there was a way to get in the same tonal universe as a RAT but with way less gain and way more touch sensitivity. I reversed the tone control so that it acts like you think it should (not like a RAT) but it works in the same basic manner by filtering out bass so that you can dial in a "tight" overdrive, should that be your thing. In an Americana band that "tight" overdrive has been money for me.

Thanks Jimmy! Yeah, I even commented on the video that the Wild Goose has to warm up for a few minutes before the tones drip out. Kind of like a molasses pedal. I should have warmed everything up (including myself) before trying to make a video through a crappy camera. But, I knew the baby would be up any minute for a bottle, so I wanted to rush through it. Oh well, such is life. I got the basic tones and idea out there. So far, I'm really digging my P bass and am quickly finding new appriciation for your pedals (even though I had plenty already). Tonight I'm going to give the Fuzzrocious line some love with the new P.
