Baer Amplification Megathread!

Lunch Break:

I hooked up the GK 1001RBII to the two ML112's....
Man, those cabs really turn watts into horsepower efficiently.
I had to turn the gain structure way, way down from "last gig settings," and it was still Major Loud (saluuuute!).
I expect this is what I'll gig this weekend.

And, again, as with the Walkabout, the ML112's turn GK grit into something nice.

"I like."

Any word on the ML115? I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on a ML112 right now, but the "vintage" description that Roger gave the 15 sounded like it was right up my alley.

We are working on dialing in that cab right now. We were all set to go with Faital for the woofer on this one, but we just got a new sample from Eminence that is very promising, so we are doing some experimenting with that one before making a decision on the woofer. We expect to have the cab available in about 3 to 4 months depending on which driver we end up with.

When will Valkerie be available?
Things are going well with the amp project right now and we have some new manufacturing partners that are helping us wrap this up. I'm feeling pretty good about it being available sometime this fall.

mmmmm....I have Duke's ThunderTots without tweets....so LF drivers/no tweets....so I presume that put's my cabs right in the middle....lol.....they sound fantastic with my MB Fusion......with the LMii also but I prefer the Fusion

But I'd definitely be trying the Baers if I didn't have my Tots already

Thanks fellas. Seems like the Baer will compliment them both so well. Seems like such a fantastic cabinet.

My experience has been that the ML112s let the tone character of the amp come through, nicely. (See above.)

It's a different trip, and one I'm liking very much, that I'm not looking for a particular "magic combination" of amp and cab to achieve a tone I like.

TOTALLY agree with that...it's really like the most "one size fits all" cab that I've ever heard...delivers exactly what you put into it :-)

LOVE ME MY M-112's!!!!!!

You guys clearly aren't trying to help my pocket book. Time to spend less on social activities and more on saving.

This sounds familiar *cough*fearful*cough* ;)

Anyway, I'm joining the party, too. After reading this thread through TWICE (and maaaaany others) these just match my needs too well and the price compared to something like the Aguilar SL112's is totally reasonable. Add to that that these will hold their value better than those big production cabs, it'd be fiscally irresponsible NOT to pick one or two up. Provided the tone is in the ballpark of what's been said, I don't think I need to keep looking anymore. And boy will my gf be happy with that news.

Edit: I do wish they weighed 5 lbs and came with silver grill cloth (ala Fender blackface), but I don't want to be too greedy...

Finalized my order last night and spent an enjoyable 1/2 hour with Roger in quality conversation, covering a lot of topics.

It turns out he has ML112's in stock (vs the 2-3 week wait indicated on the website), ready to ship. I may get mine by Saturday!!!:hyper:
