Bag End Club.

Moved to a new place a few hours from my previous home back to the area I grew up... 3300sq/ft home built in 88 on 2.2 acres. I claimed a 13'x14' room with a 10' to 15' tall ceiling for my music room / home office / man cave. Here is the corner my Bag End lives in

I have combined the S15B with both an S15 and also the S15X and either pairing sound great, the S15B brings a lot of deep bass!

Hello there, Bagend newb with questions. I know absolutely nothing about this cab line, but have heard of it forever. Looking at new cabs and interested in 215 setup. What do the S15-N sound like? I can power with WD800 or DB751, Streamliner600 amount others. Play pbass in pocket style

You are in the same situation I was before ordering my cabs. I took a leap of faith an ordered two 1x15 cabs. In short they sound like heaven and have solved ALL my stage monitoring issues. If I ever lose my mind because I can't imagine ever needing more sound than two produce I'd love to have a 2ohm, 4x15 system.

That is my next question. I've played alot of cabs, but my fav for volume, tone and ease of use was the sealed 810. However I hated moving it and never used all its volume capability. It always went low enough and I never missed a tweeter. I would say cabs designed with a defeatable tweeter never sounded good to me with it off,, IDK.
Anyway, two S15-N could get loud and sound similar to the 810? Would work for a larger outdoor stage with PA support?

Hi, I was just looking at Bag End's website and saw different kinds of passive 15-inches tweeterless cabs (which is what I'm interested in): can you guys describe what is different between the S15-B, S15-N and S15L-N models? Also, I can't tell if the current Nebula finish is essentially the same as the classic Bag End fur, just in black versus the iconic dark purple-ish, or if it's a different finish altogether, more like a tolex...

The pair of 15s gets pretty loud. I think it'll keep up with the 810 for volume.

Tone wise, both are punchy. The S15 to my ears has more top end and more midrange. The 810 I have is darker and seems marginally more scooped/deeper than the pair of S15s.

I honestly prefer the tone of the 810. But it's just insane to move it. The S15s are easy to move and certainly sound good enough.

To me your statement says they are clearly in the same sound area, and volume might be a depends on situation. Would you say tone wise that with eq and in the mix it could be a near tie? I do like 810 tone, and I do hate moving them. Ever since I sold the 810 I feel like a fight brightness and have to add HPF all the time, I miss that plug and play I had with it.

maybe the best way to phrase it is that when I plug an SVT from the 810 and into the S15 stack, it still sounds like an SVT. To my ear there is a touch less low end and a touch more high end from the S15s, but not enough to where I even bother to adjust the SVT's controls. It sounds fine so I just plug in and go whichever cab(s) I'm using.

Well, I just put in the order for two S15-N cabs. I hope my search for a perfect cab is over after this. What I really hope is they sound great together and one will cover smaller stuff and sound great alone and I can unload some other cabinets. I should sell some basses too,,, wait let's not get ahead of ourselves here!

For anyone that has purchased direct from Bag End, do they usually ship quickly or do they build to order or what?

Mine were built to order. Took about 6 weeks.
