I used NEO speaker cabinets for years and understand, being a former Ampeg fridge owner, not wanting to move heavy gear. However the two 50lbs cabinets I own are worth it. I also have several dollies that I utilize for different situations that help a great deal.

Scored a Bag End D10BX-D in like new condition about a year ago for $250 with a really nice custom cover. Amazing sounding 2x10 cabinet. The great deal was likely because it is about 75 lbs.

Scored a Bag End D10BX-D in like new condition about a year ago for $250 with a really nice custom cover. Amazing sounding 2x10 cabinet. The great deal was likely because it is about 75 lbs.

I recently picked up a D10BX-D for $99 Canadian, which works out to about $78 US. It's not in perfect condition, but still has the original drivers and sounds amazing. It is pretty hefty, but I probably won't be moving it around too much. It was missing the logo but Tera from Bag End sent me a new one.

I had a D12X-D for a little while, years ago. It was a loud, punchy cab but maybe lacking in the low end as a standalone. I wish I still had it though. I didn't love the Mesa Carbine M3, but I also had an Orange Terror Bass combo that sounded much better through run through the D12X-D.

At the same time I had the D12X-D, I picked up an S15X-D that had a blown driver and the previous owner had stripped off the carpet. I bought it for $60, hoping it would be an easy fix and that the driver was actually fine but it was not. I ended up selling the empty cab for $100 so that worked out anyway.

No worries, and I apologize for calling you out. I admit to not being as knowledgeable as I would like regarding the various Bag End nomenclature, so I was curious if I was missing a model (or two).

I didn’t know that they had actually made a coaxial 12 inch driver. The only one that I saw that looked like that with the red dust cap was actually a guitar speaker I think they called it the red rocker or something. Back in the day or a wishing that they had. I wonder when that cabinet is from?

I'm not sure when it was made but I had the cabinet in 2016. I believe that the coaxial 12" driver has been discontinued for quite some time. The D12X-D cabinet is listed in this brochure:

I just picked up my first Bag End cab! It's a TA-12 of the older design, and I'm absolutely in love with the tone. I'm using it alongside a barefaced 210 set to 12 ohms so that my amp can see 4.6 ohms average, playing through fuzzes and aluminum necks. The brightness is killer

My tweeter is a little hissy and sometimes crackles though, does anybody here know of a good modern replacement? I believe it's the E-350 horn. A bigger one would be acceptable because my cab has the long cutout for mounting wider horns

I’m back in the club! Had an S-15 a while ago and liked it, but it didn’t work for what I needed at the time. I’ve been playing through a hartke stack (4x10 and 1x15) and it sounded great but you know how heavy those things are. Worked fine when I was playing at home but as soon as I had to start moving that thing around it got old real fast. Just picked up an S-15 D. It was a store demo so it’s practically new. Sounds so good. Like, seriously good. This little 15 sounds bigger and better than that heavy old stack. Might pick up another one for bigger gigs, but right now this S-15 and my genzler Magellan 350 are doing the trick.

Bag End was off setting their 4x10 long before Bergantino figured it out, and the Bag End 2x15 (two 1x15) is a classic. Sounds so good

Probably the best investment I've made in any gear purchase. Absolutely kill! I had them at about 200 watts Saturday. Best sound I've ever had.

Do the s15ln I believe is the model...sound a bit deeper than these? I haven't seen a lot of info on those..any info appreciated

Still in love with my D12-B and still pushing it with a 40 watt 6L6 based amp with a "Tweakable" pre amp that does vintage or modern versions of Fender / Vox / Marshall. It has taught me I needed a 68 reissue Fender Deluxe Reverb for my guitars... so I bought one and a real Tele to go with it.

I have one of the first Bag End cabs made. Serial number 532. It's a 2x10 wedge called a D-10-W.
It has a additional tweeter added to it though, so it's not original. Still, it is a great cabinet, sounds awesome and is rock soLId.
