Ah ok and they stack well I take it. So it does seem that the oiled ones dont have the stacking indentations only the nebula wrapped ones?

The Birch cabs don’t have the stacking indentations … they stack perfectly.
Is it bad I've always wanted 3 x S15-D's?
Can anybody speak to how the S15-D's work with a tone hammer 500? I'm looking for a new amp and I've always wanted to try the TH but I'm not looking to trade in my Baggy's.
I used the AG700 and the TH700 with my Bag End cabs for a few years. Always got a great result.
I use 2 - S 15N cabs and have recently acquired the S15-B.
They pair well together.
I used a TH500 with one and two S15-D cabs for several years. Very nice round tone. I’ve since moved to other heads/cabs due to weight and dispersion differences, but wouldn’t hesitate to use the TH500/S15-D combination for most gigs.
In regards to the S-10-B for anybody who has ever wondered about it: Despite its higher mid rating it is a very full cabinet especially when you stand 8 feet away from it. It feels punchy, in your chest and articulate without harsh highs. If you have ever played a BE cab I think tonally it sounds very familiar. I've got about 16 hours on it so far and have not grown as fatigued as I have with my d-12-b. Using an AB165 head and a GK400RB.
I take breaks playing more guitar than bass at times... but d***! every time I switch back I remember that I am and will always be a bassist

It's more or less a sort of head shelf that comes with the atlas stand. It's really a great little amp stand, but ridiculously expensive new. I picked it up from a buddy who was parting out with much of his gear.
I’ve been using an 810 live lately, but my recent addition of a Mesa 2 ohm-capable head makes this S15 stack possible, and much more portable. Thinking of unleashing it at this Saturday’s gig…the fine folks at Happy Hours Bar & Grill won’t know what hit them. Thoughts?

I have recently been playing through an Ampeg 810 as well. I have one at my practice space but when the back line isn’t offered I haul out these Epifani UL1 57 lb ea cabs. Easy carry but they take up a lot of room in the truck. Mesa WD800 head is decent as well!
I wish I could try out some Bag End cabs in Toronto. We used to be able to get them here but I haven’t seen them around in 20 years.

The top one with the coax driver is 50lbs…the other 2 are 44 lbs each. Not as light as some of the newer cabs out there, but I find them quite manageable. Sounded great at our gig tonight, but might have been a bit of overkill…but it was fun to try out the triple stack!
