Bald headed men, and Self Esteem

i used to have hair down to the middle of my back. when i started losing it up top, i began to look like ben franklin on the new 100.00 bill. at age 30 i shaved off what was left. i will never go back, because i cant and because i hate the way that "ring" of hair looks. i think of myself as dr. evil with a bass guitar. i shave 2 times a week now. 7 years of being a chrome dome and i love it. i do however always wear a hat, actually one that i got off of this here website.

It seems that TBers are a disgustingly well-adjusted and realistic group. Not one person suggests it's better to hide your baldness with rugs and combovers.

I'm 56 and still have a reasonably full head of hair ... but ... my hairline has receded over the past decade, and I've got a thinning semi-bald spot. At my age, this is not all that unusual; I notice most of my colleagues of similar age are going through this.

I'm not sure about shaving ... It's great if you have a nicely shaped head, but I don't know (and won't until I shave it) whether I'd look good this way. Especially since I'd need to shave off my beard as well. I'm just leaning towards shorter and shorter haircuts.

I'm way too damn bald and I hate it. But My wife likes my remaining hair the way it is because it's soft. So I can't even pretend I had a choice in the matter and shave my head.

She used to have a supervisor who she describes as a male reproductive appendage. He had alopecia universalis, so no hair anywhere, not even eyebrows. The occiputal fold on the back of his head also reminded her of a penis. So it wasn't just his personality. She is sure that if I shave my head then she will be reminded of him every time she looks at me.

So I continue to look like a younger Dr Weil.

I've lost quite a bit, and I really dislike it. I started shaving it 3 years ago, and it's okay...but I personally don't care for the evil look, nor do I want to portray that image. I've found that losing the facial hair a while back helped with that too.

But lately, I've been too busy and or lazy to cut my hair, so I just have been wearing hats more. I'm due for a buzz cut yet tonight probably, but I hate the rashes it ocassionally causes.

why do women like touching our bald heads??? I have been told when they touched mine, "I like how it feels" I am not sure what goes through their heads at that time of touching, strange:hmm: maybe some women should STEP UP, and answer this, I know we have some at TB, so lets hear it, help the guys out!
