There's always someone out there who could take offence at anything, and you just may find them. Personally, I see nothing wrong with that. I can't say I like them much, myself, but I don't see them as a turn off.

There's always someone out there who could take offence at anything, and you just may find them. Personally, I see nothing wrong with that. I can't say I like them much, myself, but I don't see them as a turn off.

People actually “Dance” these days? LOL! You may attract more with names like: Passing Virus; Plague Riot; The Masked Rangers, and such.
I'm in the +1 camp of keep the band names. Dance Epidemic, Dance Outbreak, Dance Infection, whatever.
As for people thinking the names are bad, well, all the good band names are taken so why not go for something weird or absurd? My old punk band did not have a very good name, but the name became cool because we were a good band.
During the 9/11 terrorist attacks with anthrax spores being sent in the mail, everyone wondered if the band Anthrax would change their name in light of those recent events involving bio-terrorism... they unapologetically did not.

Very true (the bands’ names, not what you know...
) but as far as I know we’re not in the midst of a global man eating scourge, or a catastrophic rotting meat explosion... I guess any word even sounding like “pandemic” will cause folks to run for their lives, six feet apart, of course...
Just my 2 cents. First I don’t think they are very good names, regardless of the pandemic. Second, as hard as it is to book a band, why would you risk not getting a gig because a club manager thought your name was offensive or was afraid his customers would?
I don't know, but I wanted to call our band The Not Rap, Too Tight Band. NRTT for short. But I got overruled. (hint: say it out loud)
I had some friends that did that. And they were good. They played out 3-4 times a week for the better part of 5 years before they moved on.Just call your band "Free Beer" (gets you always a packed house)
Haha, some of the previous comments are funny. Nah, epidemic in the name is fine, but I would scratch the "dance" part, just because it sounds a bit cheese. However, one of my regular gigging bands is called "Sasquatch on a Unicorn" so what do I know (people actually love the name, crazy).
If lame is offensive, then yeah.
