I hate it when other bands don't clean up after themselves. Unprofessional.

Some bands get away with it... And end up triple platinum. The amount of BS venues are willing to put up with is often proportional to fame and/or talent. Signs won't make a lick of difference to the people they are aimed at. They're probably too $#!T faced to read the letters anyway.
It's not 'What is an itmes' but 'What are itmes'. They are more than one itme. Britney Spears sang about them.
Some people are non- thinking jerks who still think it's fun to trash hotel rooms and dressing rooms , that was in the "good old days ". I do remember thrashing a room in a London Hostel back in the 80's once and only once . You know what......I don't think they noticed .
I had a small shop at the end of a row of industrial buildings. At the other end of the buildings was a guy that rented out practice/rehearsal space for bands that he managed. One day, the owner of the rehearsal space comes up to me and tells me he kicked out that punk band he managed because they were unruly and they were always breaking beer bottles and peeing on the side of the building. I didn't know it was happening because I worked on the other side and would only occasionally hear bands rehearsing if I was working late at night. I thought about it for a few seconds and I told the guy what kind of punk band would they be if they weren't unruly and breaking beer bottles and peeing on the sides of buildings?
CBGB's is where my cousin got married back in the 80's. My brother and I were so waisted, we slept in the train station. I'm sober these days.
you aint kiddin...standing room only, because people were afraid to lean against anything in there. There was a big "no stage diving" sign behind the front right PA speaker hanging from ceiling..Alot of good that sign did

I have played some nasty dives ... but never a place that nasty
Yea I've played venues where there were signs saying clean up or leave it the way you found it... I've never seen one about using the area as a toilet, although I'm certain that some of that had taken place at some of the dives I've played in that didn't have signs but really needed this policy.
There are all kinds in this world...management is not assuming that my band would do this, but they've obviously had to clean up after such degenerates; someone who probably urinated on the stage because they were told to turn down or something they didn't like.
