Barbanera??? ***

I purchased a Barbanera shortly after you did, currently a couple spots away now.

I’m sort of living vicariously through you until Will finishes mine, but I’ve been aware of the moog and barbanera’s “bypass” issue, and I think I may have a fix for for you.

I saw a post somewhere online (not on TB) about someone setting a line level device like a preamp/DI before the pedal. Evidently with the Moogs, they were designed to take a high output signal like a synth.

I have a JT Amps Alpha DI box I plan on setting in front of mine to fix this issue. Hope this helps!

Did you get it, and how do you like it?

Mine is in a bypass loop, so the volume stuff is a non-issue now. I don't use it a lot, but when I do, it sounds and feels great.

I'm going to get an expression pedal to control the cutoff frequency directly, and then I can simulate a downsweep.

I still haven’t received it yet, getting close though. The excitement is killing me lol.

That’s good to know about the effects loop! I actually later realized my Alpha DI only boosts the DI signal, but I have a Paraeq that I’m hoping I can boost in front to eliminate the noise, we’ll see
