Double Bass bass bar

I have the identical problem with my '52 Kay M-1 except my bar is loose on the top / neck end. It's a real downer because I just got a new set of Innovation Super Silvers installed, and then I noticed the tell tale rattle.

What are the chances this can be re-glued without removing the top? I've seen some home made clamps with a 24" or so throat depth. I'm hoping Farmerdide and I can come out on this revolting development.

Has it been 9 years??...damn....
What coincedence that this thread comes back.....I still have that bass....got it reglued in 01' and havent played it till last month only to find that the dang bass bar come unglued again in the same place. Heres a pic of me looking through the f hole with a mirror:scowl: and the aftermath :rollno:
Could of happend 5 yrs ago or 5 weeks ago, I really dont know....but so much for "permanent" glue.

I'll be needing that clamp Tim.......
