Such elegance! I am sicerely impressed!
That tailpiece and the fingerboard end turned out better than I had imagined! And the curved tailpiece with rectangular bridge makes a balance to the rectangular pups. Fabulous effect.:hyper:

Build that! And endulge us with a build thread!

PS You can make the tailpiece out of wood, if you can't find/afford a metal shop to make it for you. Oak will do, compressed oak is super, pockenholz or similar are also good but expensive. DS

im glad you like it. the bridge supriced me a lot made huge difference. I will shure do a build thread once i got it all started.
as for now i'll be shopping for hardware, pickups and wood. so advice on this would be nice..

i currently have my mind set on this

the bridge for my bass with the custom tailpiece and shipping has come to about 108 euros which is about £75 which is about $136

nice price for a 3d adjustable 2-pc bridge.

That tailpice you have designed is quite similar to one of the ones i did for my bass, i eventually went for this, kinda mirrored warwick.

I'm not too familiar with "small body builders", but the figures you mention are a bit on the small side. Cort Curbow has a very tiny body, at about that size. BassLab has small bodies, and I'm rather sure that the L-bow is smaller! My own LoW is about that size, 300/200 mm.

When it comes to use, my experience of the Cort is negative, due to some (to my mind) extreme neck dive. In other respects, it OK. The BassLab range is very much to my liking, and the LoW is also great.

You need to go away from clamping the bass body to your body, or keep the bass really high. Otherwise, it's just the same as a wider body. IMLE, YMMV, etc.

Hi,

I don't know the measurements but this is what I do when I need measurements:

Find the picture of the bass that you'd like to learn measurements.

Find a comparison length you can make the comparison and find other measurements compared to this.
For example if you know the scale length (probably 34 or 35") so the length from the nut to the 12th fret should be the half of this. So you can find other measurements keeping the rate you find. You can print out the pic and measure with a rule. Or you can use some photo editing softwares like Photoshop. Or even I'd import this picture as a background bitmap to Rhino, draw a scale length of 34", scale the background bitmap to that 34", and voila you've got all other measurements that you'd like to learn.
