Bass ID time! Pino with Blake mills!

What is this I wonder?

It looks a bit like a Victor Bailey signature, but the knob layout doesn't match. He has been using all kinds of unique gear for his solo work so it could be practically anything...

On a related note: it looks like you took this picture yourself at a live show of his. I'm going to see him in two weeks. HOW WAS IT?!

Is that not a five string of some kind? I recall Tim Lefebvre has some kinda medium or shorty fiver that looks Strat-like similar to that (I think).

Looks like a 5 string with a 4/1 headstock and modifieid fender-style headstock to me as well. Pointy at the end, not rounded, almost like a lakland or EBMM but not either.

Lefebvre has been using an LEH 5 string, this definitely isn't that.

I'm familiar with the LEH one (major GAS!!!), but this is what I was talking about--however does not look quite the same--different headstock for sure:

I was at this show. It’s some kind of stingray style bass, with a highly figured burl top. Probably flatwounds. Lots of chords. He used this predominantly, and pulled out the old fretless for a few tunes.

It was the first night of the tour, so Pino had some trouble with his rig, but everyone laughed and brushed it off. I didn’t take any photos of videos, so if anyone did or does, please send them to me!

Portland? Blake’s birthday?

I was there too. I have no idea what the five string is, but I enjoyed the heck out of it despite the mishaps.
