Bass identification

Hello,
Maybe I'm wrong... but it seems a non lefty bass... because the buttons, jack and belt position...
But what brand and model of bass is it??
It's played by "The Frightnrs" bassist.

Univox something or other? Or one of a million old Japanese copies. They came in all different brand names.

Something Japanese from the late 60s to early 70s in the Teisco family. There were a number of brand names that were the same bass from the same factory, occasionally with a pickup change.


Here's one that's pretty close branded as an Encore but the one pictured could have had one of any number of names.

59 P Bass but it looks weird because it's upside down.

I've got one of these bodies in a bin out in my garage. Just a plywood hunk of junk, but still…I get tempted to turn it into something every now and again.
