FWIW, I'm one of you. My HS job was working in a "speed parts" Auto Supply. Back then I could tell you mustang stuff like, whether a shaker hood scoop was a dealer or a factory option. Also, FWIW, I would have opted for the 69 with a 351C. I think the 70 is snazzier in it's own way but it was a heavier year and there was also something about the wheelbase that made the 69 functionally better. I may not be remembering that part right. Maybe it was that you cold get a Detroit locker with with a Muncie 4 speed top loader? I can't remember....

Well, you certainly remember more than I.

I smashed one into the back of a `66 Corvair! Nor one of my better days.
Not trying to enjoy some schadenfreude at your expense, I was just reminded of my brother's wife doing the same thing with his '67. Only thing was, she didn't hit a Corvair, she hit a police cruiser. She was with her mother, who spoke only French, so she 'forgot' how to speak English. Wound up not even getting a ticket, the cop got so frustrated. He just let her go. The entire 3 blocks to the house we all lived in (med. school). She and her mother were laughing their a$$es off, damage to the car notwithstanding. :roflmao:

You probably did the owner of the Corvair a life-long favor! If you are in any doubt about it, read

It is absolutely amazing how many things were wrong with the Corvairs. We owned a Corvair "Green-Briar" van when I was a kid. I remember we didn't own it for very long, both my parents are gone, so I can't ask why:

The average size of the Ukrainan people might (cough, cough) be slightly smaller that the average American.
You may be right. :) Americans hold first three positions in a world tallest men rating. Ukrainian Leonid Stadnyk is on a fourth position with 8 ft 5 in.
Bot OTOH Ukrainian Igor Volkovinsky now's living in United States and currently is the tallest person there.
