Not quite right. Technically we play an "electric bass guitar" but that's been shortened to just "bass" by many. There are baritone guitars, too - do you say you play the "baritone"? That'd really confuse the brass section.

Good point...I should have said that "I know you didn't create this but..." and then gone into my "correctness police" diatribe. Too many people have the wrong impression about what we play...almost needs to be on the misinformation thread!Yeah, I know. I say bass guitar all the time since I do not play an upright bass. And I was SO hoping to see "Popeil" on the headstock!
That's the first car I ever owned. Lasted a week before I T-boned a joker trying to cross the highway from a sidestreet. My next car was an AMC Concord. Yeah, I had taste...One of the things I loved about the much maligned Chevy Citation was that I could fit my bike in the back without removing the wheels.
