Bass Meme War! Go!!

I went to work the day after returning from a 6 day/5 night stay in Las Vegas for the Comdex show. I'd gotten maybe 8 hours of sleep the entire week. I looked so bad, they sent me home, but gave me a pat on the back for trying to work when I was obviously "sick". Never told them the truth. ;)
My old band once had a residency at a night club in town on a Thursday night - we played from 10pm until 2am, by the time we'd packed up and got home it was about 3:30am.... and I started work at 07:30am.....
I used to go into work on Fridays and make a coffee with 6 teaspoons of coffee, 3 teaspoons of sugar and milk to make a thick paste, then hot water from the kettle. I still to this day love a strong coffee, but not that strong and with no sugar (I'm type 2 diabetic) .... a couple of times I managed to take the friday off, but usually went to work on the friday.... then usually played a gig on friday night as well....
I couldn't do that now though!

In my 30's and 40's I'd dinner and drunk at a restaurant my friends played. After closing, 23:00 or so, I'd go to the guitar players house and we'd jam until ~ 05:00. Then he'd join his girlfriend to sleep until noon. I'd rush home to shower and make it to work at 06:00. Then at 15:00 I'd drive 26 miles home and sleep for four hours. Sometimes repeating the next day.

We needed a new washer and dryer a couple of years ago and my wife fell in love with a red pair like that one simply because they were red. She's a red fanatic. Didn't matter if they were highly rated or not (luckily they at least turned out to be average), they were red and that was that.

Since they were red and it was early February when we bought them, I kidded her about them being her Valentine's Day present, which didn't go over well. Yes, I did get her a real gift, although to this day I still press her buttons and kid her about them being a Valentine's Day gift.

That poor woman. I just never learn ....

That is very kind of you. Perhaps she will get you a red bass for your next Valentine's:

That's a vector-drawn "logo" that can be purchased from a couple of sites at least. 9.99 € here in France. It might look nice, and seem to be cool, but that is one screwed up logo. It purports to be about bass, but has two guitars in a 'X' shape. The sales sites refer to them as "grunge" guitars. Oh, really? How many peeps actually read anything? They look at the pictures and move on. Whoever came up with that logo has zero branding knowledge. It's a disaster from that aspect.

Not beating on you, @roccobass, I enjoyed looking at it. But it did take me back to when I had to work for a living and pay a designer to develop a couple of logos for me. They take a lot of work to get right, even the ones that look really simple when finished.

No bigs. Well that’s what happens when I post without my glasses on. :wacky:

You can get her a red, heart shaped guitar like my band member has.
She plays clarinet and one of her bands plays in all of the town's civic functions like parades, memorial services, holiday outings, etc.. I once bought her a red clarinet to use when she didn't want to use one of her good or even decent clarinets, but the plastic ended up warping in the heat of a 4th of July parade.

Hey, at least I tried.
